Pirate Pup

One of my most favorite things has to be my Dachshund and his super ability to make me laugh and melt my heart at the same time. Tucker's favorite pastime is going fishing, so naturally he's a pirate of the high seas adventuring to new lands.

MEET SANDY

This sweet Hawaiian beauty represents island hospitality and eco-friendly consciousness and was dreamed up specifically for Hula Bedding Co.

lucky's bow tie

Our family recently adopted a rescue Dachshund named Lucky. He's even sassier than Tucker, but with even more style. I love when he sports his little blue bow tie.

Marketing Mastermind

This illustration was created to help describe my quirky writer friend Ryan Poquette for his business launch, Veritas Matters.

The Never-ending story

Tucker is also an avid tail-chaser—to his own detriment at times. At the command of "Get your tail!" he gets lost in a frenzy of never-ending dizziness, tongue flying and all.

Watercolor parallels transparency, so I wanted to have the figure struggling with just that identity. The figure ... me. I wanted to appear dissolved into the background of the work so there is more emphasis on my emulsion in the darkness rather than my illumination by the light source.

Coming from a Polish background I wanted to show that history along with integrating the history of my family in the United States. I decided to show the generational changes from my grandmother to my mother to me in a progressive composition, showing the dignity and pride of our heritage through the ages.
